the family Oksen prepares infused rums in the purest artisanal tradition.
After many requests, Franck Oksen, a lively young man in his forties,
decides to launch his own production in 2009.
His idea is to play with the aromatic range of spices,
berries and fruits through exclusively natural,

Sublime invitation to travel through senses, Famille Oksen Handcrafted Spiced Rum proposes an amazing encounter with exotic notes from far-off territories.
This second one sets in majesty the rare « Split Vanilla ». This vanilla bean has the articularity to have ripened on its liana until the pod opens, that is to say it splits. All the aromas of the peppery, racy, slightly caramelized vanilla with some notes of
chocolate and the sun’s sensuality can be found in this spirit with a golden gleaming hue.
Visual aspect: straw-yellow. Nose: vanilla. Palate: soft and supple, reminds childhood. Nice complexity. Notes of vanilla and spices. Gourmet pairings: crème caramel.
This first spiced rum is made with entire cinnamon sticks, macerated long enough to provide the very essence of the spice and a hint of woodiness stemming from the wood of the stick, genuine piece of cinnamon tree bark. 100% natural, this brandy displays a lovely coppery colour.
Visual aspect: golden. Nose: cinnamon, mild spices. Palate: round and smooth. Pleasurable flavours of cinnamon. Gourmet pairings: chocolate cake with a cinnamon sauce.
The banana OKSEN Spiced Rum was the most difficult to put in place. Using ripe fruits coming from Equateur, this maceration gives a great sweetness to the agricultural Rum from Martinique. With a naturally sweet taste, this banana releases what comes naturally to this rich kind of fruits.
Visual aspect: yellow with greenish tints. Nose: fresh banana. Palate: sweet and flavourful. Gourmet pairings: pancake.
It’s the first blending maceration. Without treatment, the whole orange Bio, slower to macerate, gives the freshness of the citrus fruit and the intensity from his zest. The moka coffee Bio releases much more quickly his roasted notes.
Robe : dark orange. Nez : Smooth, silky and fresh. Palate : Intense orange with a coffee aftertaste. Gourmet pairings: Grog with tea or warm water.
